VIDEO: Doctor Who Companions Reflect On Life Inside The TARDIS

The Guardian have released a video of interviews with six of the Doctor's former companions: Carole Ann Ford (Susan Foreman), Katy Manning (Jo Grant), Louise Jameson (Leela), Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) and Karen Gillan (Amy Pond). The video, where the companions reflect upon their time in the TARDIS and its subsequent effect on their lives, is a companion to a feature in the print edition of The Guardian, published tomorrow.

The six companions reflect on their costumes, the changing attitude to women in the show, the subsequent effects on their careers, meeting fans, meeting each other and whether there could ever be a female Doctor.

Carole Ann Ford, the first ever companion has the final word, saying of her Doctor, William Hartnell:

“Bill would have loved to be around today to see how incredibly successful it is. He would have gone, ‘I told you so, I told you so’!”
